Saturday AI seminar in Houston
Three hours, in person, for regular people. You'll leave knowing what today's AI tools can and can't do, and you'll have used them on your own life and work. No sales pitch until the last ten minutes.
Next session
Saturday, October 17
9:30 AM to 12:30 PM · Houston
$39 early bird until a week before, then $49. Includes a 15-minute follow-up call for when you get stuck.
Who it's for
- Anyone who keeps hearing about AI and wants a straight answer instead of a headline
- Parents, job seekers, retirees and side-hustlers who want to use it for real things
- Office staff who have been told to "figure out AI"
- Owners and managers of small companies. The last half hour is for you.
What to bring
- A laptop if you have one. Phones work for most of it.
- One real task you do every week that you'd like to be faster.
- A document you're allowed to share: a lease, a resume, a proposal, a customer email.

Live build: a real website, from nothing, in 25 minutes
The room picks the business. Claude Code and Rocket.net do the work on screen, and you see exactly what it costs to do yourself.
- 12:10
For business owners
Two minutes on what a bot can do for a small company, including the phone assistant that answers CBIT's own line.
- 12:15
Questions
And what to do when you get stuck at home.
- 12:30
Done
A real website, built in front of you
In the last half hour we start with an empty hosting account and end with a working WordPress site: custom look, three pages, a contact form. You pick what the business is. It's done by typing plain English into Claude Code, and you'll see every step, including the two subscriptions it takes to do it at home (about $30 a month for hosting, $20 for Claude).
Go try it. When you hit the wall, call.
Most people who try this at home get somewhere on Saturday and stuck on Sunday. That's normal, and it's what we're here for.

Dates
Saturday, October 17
9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Houston. Venue announced with your ticket
Laptops encouraged. Phones work for most of it.
Straight answers.
Why does it cost money?
Because paid seats show up. $49 covers three hours, the materials and a follow-up call. We hope some of you call again when you get stuck, or want a project later. That's the whole business model, and we say so.
Refunds?
Full refund up to 48 hours before. After that, move your seat to the next date.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you can send an email you can do everything in this session.
I don't own a business. Is it still for me?
Yes. The whole morning is for everyday use, and the website we build at the end is as likely to be for a club or a side hustle as a company.
Can I really build a website myself after this?
Some people do. Most get partway and need a hand, which is what the $79 call is for. We're honest about that on the day.
What does it cost to do it at home?
Hosting on Rocket.net from about $30 a month and a Claude plan from $20 a month. No purchase is needed for the seminar itself.
Which tools?
Free tiers of ChatGPT and Claude, and Google's tools if that's what your company uses. You won't need to buy anything.
Will you use my documents?
Only on your own laptop. Nothing you bring is collected.
Can I bring a colleague?
Yes, each needs a ticket on Luma.
Where is it?
Houston. The exact room is on the Luma page for each date, and in your ticket email.
Run a business? The seminar is the small version of what we do.
We build automations and custom web apps for small and mid-size companies. If a task at work keeps eating someone's week, tell us about it. The evaluation is free.
Free evaluation. Fixed quote before work begins.
